Polestar 3 electric SUV unveiled with 610 km range: Launch in 2023 – Times of India

Swedish automotive brand Polestar recently unveiled its third all-electric SUV, the Polestar 3. Slated to launch globally in 2023, the Polestar 3 comes equipped with the latest safety features and sustainable materials are used in the cabin.
Built on the SPA2 platform, the all-electric Polestar 3 SUV shares its underpinnings with the upcoming Volvo EX90 all-electric flagship. In terms of design, the Polestar 3 is quite similar to the Polestar Percept concept like the front aero wing, dual blade and flowing coupe design. The front grille is closed off and a vent is positioned lower on the bumper.
The side profile is flanked by 21-inch alloy wheels as well as 22-inch alloy wheels as optional. As seen in the images, the rear gets an upright tailgate with a full-length light bar placed below the glasshouse.
As far as the interior is concerned, the Polestar 3 is equipped with a centrally positioned 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a Snapdragon processor, a digital instrument cluster and a 25-speaker Bowers and Wilkins sound system.

Mechanically, the Polestar 3 SUV will get a dual motor setup and all-wheel drive system as standard. The standard variant generates a peak power of 483 bhp and a max torque of 840 Nm, while the Performance Pack churns out 510 bhp power and 910 Nm torque. The performance pack comes with an adaptive air suspension along with a revised tune.
Initially, the Polestar 3 SUV will be powered by a 111-kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of 610 km. Upon launch, it will fight with the likes of the BMW iX and Tesla Model X electric SUVs in the global markets.
