Meanwhile the Tiago NRG is currently priced between Rs 6.42 lakh and Rs 7.38 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect the Tiago NRG iCNG to be offered at a premium of about Rs 90,000 over the corresponding petrol variant(s), just like the regular version of the compact hatchback.
How the Tata Tiago broke the Indica shackles to become a success story
Talking about the powertrain, the Tiago iCNG gets the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder NA petrol Revotron engine that makes 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque in petrol mode, and 73.4 PS and 95 Nm in CNG mode. This is the same engine that will be offered with the upcoming Tiago NRG iCNG as well, with a standard 5-speed manual transmission. Tata claims that the Tiago iCNG returns a mileage of 26.49 km/kg.
The Tiago NRG is basically a sportier, more rugged version of the Tiago, with a range of cosmetic changes like plastic cladding all around, roof rails, stylish alloy wheels, 11 mm of more ground clearance, and colour-specific interior elements. Tata could go on to launch the Tiago NRG iCNG by the end of this month itself.
