Watch: Need For Speed Unbound trailer out! Game set to release later this year – Times of India

After months of waiting and speculating, Electronic Arts has finally dropped the official trailer of the new Need For Speed Unbound. As it turns out, the game will look very different from what it has been over the years with an anime aesthetic, coupled with a grungy street racing tone to it, which comes from the previous Need For Speed games. The trailer features American rap artist A$AP Rocky who narrates the introduction of the trailer. The footage ends with a rap song which appears to be a brand-new track from A$AP Rocky.
Apart from street racing which has been the core of the game, the other very-NFS feature is hot pursuits. The trailer also shows drivers speeding away from the police, which is also an opportunity it takes to showcase the various characters. The game takes place in the fictional Lakeshore City and the player’s goal will be to win “The Grand” the city’s signature street race.

Electronic Arts has given the keys to the Need for Speed franchise back to Criterion Games. With some promotional material leaking a little earlier than EA intended, fans of the Need for Speed series got wind of these changes and got the excitement going early.
EA Games also dropped the release date for the game in the trailer. It is now confirmed that the game will be out on the 2nd of December for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The announcement on the Need for Speed Twitter account tagged clothing designer Marine Serre and shoe brand Vans for A$AP Rocky’s in-game outfit, signaling that licensed clothing and shoe deals will be in the game.
