Jammu, Oct 6: District Administration Jammu, in collaboration with Mission Youth, Jammu & Kashmir, organised an Inter-centre Cross country competition under the banner of C-DYTE at Army Ground Garhi, Khour, here on Thursday and the championship went to C-DYTE Khour itself.
Deputy Commissioner, Avny Lavasa, who is also Chairman C-DYTE District Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Among the participating centres C-DYTE Khour was adjudged overall champion of the cross country whereas C-DYTE Mandal declared as 1st and Marh as 2nd Runner Up.
Among the individual prizes, Ashwani Kant of Marh centre stood first in the cross country event, Rakesh Kumar of Khour centre as second and Harsh Kumar of Mandal centre as third.
While addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner Jammu congratulated the winners, instructors and officers for successful conduct of the event.
She also extended her wishes to participants for the forthcoming Agniveer and other recruitment rallies with ample emphasis on positive atmosphere in centres for channelization of Youth energies in the right direction.
Earlier 12 KM C-DYTE running event was flagged of at 08:40 am by DDC Vice Chairman Suraj Singh in presence of SDM Khour and Colonel Upinder Pal Singh, Sewa Medal Commandant, 64th Cavalry in which over 800 runners from 15 centers of C-DYTE participated.
