Chandigarh: The Desh Bhagat University is the first private university in Punjab to implement the New Education Policy-2020, claimed president of the varsity Dr Sandeep Singh on Thursday.
Dr Harsh Sadawarti, vice-president of the Desh Bhagat University added that to give greater exposure to students, the university had also inked MOUs and made collaborations with other national and international institutes and universities. He said the university has also introduced multiple-exit options for students who want to go abroad.
The university had launched IELTS Plus (a Pilot Project of DBU under NEP-2020), said Dr Sandeep Singh. He said that in accordance with this the institution has started a 4-year, multi-disciplinary bachelor’s degree programme for undergraduates with a variety of exit possibilities. This covers both the professional and vocational spheres. However, a 4-year multidisciplinary bachelor’s degree must be the preferable option.
