A healthy and nutritious diet is important to prevent high or low blood sugar levels. You should limit carbohydrate intake in your diet to regulate your insulin levels.

In case of high blood sugar, avoid refined and processed foods. Instead, include Omega-3 fats in your diet like salmon, flax seeds, soybean, fish, eggs, legumes and beans. Avoid foods made of white flour like bread or pasta, and eat whole grains such as brown rice, rolled oats, and barley.

People with low blood sugar levels should consume food or drinks containing natural sugar, such as juices, honey, etc. Include high fibre soluble food in your diet such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes. Drink lots of water everyday to keep yourself hydrated.
